This is what the greenhouse looked like yesterday — the brown flashing was supposed to be darker to match the flashing on the house. And when the roofing comes it will be a dark brown, so the whole thing might look a bit funny.
We do want the dark paint for the heat-storing wall, but Andy thinks we might eventually change the outside paint. My guess is as long as the greenhouse works, we’ll leave it. The color of our house is a lot redder than what we asked for and it doesn’t bother us any more.
Andy bought some radish, carrot, and other seeds yesterday afternoon on the way home. He’ll plant them after the electrician comes and finishes his work.
There will be more pictures on Flickr, but I haven’t had a chance to deal with them yet. It’s a busy time thanks to Apple updating the operating system to Catalina. Great timing, Apple! 😀

Wow, it looks wonderful!
I wish the flashing and the roof (to be installed) went better with the greenhouse, but I love the bottom part.

I love the black! It looks sleek and modern and if your house is reddish I can visualize plants/scrubs on the outside of the greenhouse that picks up the house coloring.
I love the black too. I told Andy we’re not going to change that color, but it’s too bad we didn’t tell Joe we wanted the same flashing as we have on the house. He understandably picked something that went with the brown roof. I’m guessing we’ll pay more attention to the black than to the roof. We shall soon see. 🙂
