Unscented Soap

I laughed out loud at this picture. It’s true, we do use unscented soap and we don’t go out much, but we used unsecented soap even when we went dancing regularly.

Do you use scented soap and other products?

Unscented for sure. Most scents just set off my allergies. But I am an introvert so maybe that’s part of the reason. 🙂

  2. I don’t know if I’ve ever gone out of my way for any type of soap…I think I’m using a generic old fashioned one right now…it’s not overly scented. Same with bathroom tissue, I only ever get unscented, I can’t understand the need for scented in that body region…
How interesting though that soap packaging/wording…

    • Jean says:

I don’t think I’ve seen scented bathroom tissue, probably because we’ve been using the same brand for years and don’t look at any others.

I just looked on the internet. Lavender seems to be a popular choice, and one brand even offers pumpkin spice, for people who can’t get enough of that smell. I think the idea is it makes your whole bathroom smell nice.

  3. The OP Pack says:

Mom likes lightly scented soaps, Dad just wants it to be anit-bacterial. We don’t care either way as long as it doesn’t mean a B.A.T.H. for us:)

a kick out of the OP pack! LOL.
I don’t mind a very light scent. but that’s hard to come by.
I generally choose unscented for lotions etc.
I DON’T like sickeningly SWEET smells!
odd… I have only used coconut oil on my face for years. I love it.
and that smell doesn’t bother me at all. it soon goes away anyway.
maybe it’s all in my mind. I think of tropical locales and cool ocean breezes!

    • Jean says:

“tropical locales and cool ocean breezes” — that’s a relaxing association, worth using coconut oil just for that. 🙂

  5. Rose says:

I do want some scent…again the odd one out here. I don’t want overpowering, but have not had one that was. I use the old fashioned bar of dial…the orangy one that has been around forever.

Funny thing, in dishwashing soap, I used to use Ivory part of the time..just as a change. Now, I had to get rid of a bottle because I could not stand the smell. And a lot of the dish soaps have a smell I cannot stand. I want the old familiar smells…dawn is my choice, followed by palmolive. But sometimes have a hard time with the smell of palmolive.

    • Jean says:

I’m just the opposite, the Palmolive smell doesn’t bother me, but I do notice the smell of Dawn. I use it anyway if I need it. I’m not sure why they mess with the smells!

    • Rose says:

It is relatively easy for me to find palmolive with the old original smell…but dawn is another matter…it has some scents now that I just can hardly bare to smell. But like you, I use either one. They are the only two I buy.

  6. That made me laugh, too. I buy body wash instead of soap and I couldn’t tell you if it has sent or not. Last year I did buy some expensive body wash that smelled like roses and the way it made me smell. I LOVED it.

    • Jean says:

Andy and I must be a lot more sensitive to smells than you are. We often notice smells even if they don’t say scented.

That’s too bad the one you liked has to be expensive.

  7. Harold says:

Good old fashioned unscented Ivory soap for shampoo and body. Been doing it for too many years to change now. 🙂

  8. Joared says:

I avoid all scented products whenever possible. Some scents bother my sinuses sometimes, other times not, so I just avoid all scents.

  9. nick says:

My soap and shampoo have scents. I’m not allergic to any scents so I’m not bothered about buying unscented products. I’m an introvert but I don’t feel any need for special introvert soap!

Oh my word …………..I truly laughed out loud!!!
