Mystery Solved

A couple of weeks ago we saw the management putting bundles of things on the roof. We couldn’t figure out what they were.

Then yesterday we saw some of them mounted on the laundry room:

They’re solar panels — who would have guessed? Not us.

Interesting. I wouldn’t have guessed those.

  6. MadSnapper says:

very interesting, I am wondering if they are for your power and you will get it cheaper? I know more and more that can afford the horrid expense are doing it for their homes here.

    • Jean says:

We don’t pay for electricity, it’s included in the rent. The rent goes up every year, but housing is getting more scarce. As long as they let us keep living here we’re happy.

  7. JeanR. says:

Not me, I thought it was going to be new roofing material.

  8. nick says:

Yes, does that mean you get cheaper electricity? And what are all those strange things at the bottom of the panels? I guess Andy will know, with all his technical expertise.

    • Jean says:

We don’t pay separately for electricity. I’ll ask Andy about the strange things — I’ve never seen anything like them. Our panels are mounted up in the air.
