The Internet Is Working Again

I received several emails saying a technician would be phoning me today and someone had to be here. It didn’t make sense, but it didn’t matter. I did receive a call about 12:30 from the technician and he agreed, he didn’t have to come out. He said the internet might be down for a while and he would tell me when it was back. He didn’t phone, but he sent an email around 3:20 pm.

Anyway, we’re back in business. The speed doesn’t seem to be any faster if I use my VPN and my router, but it is faster if I plug my computer directly into the modem and close my VPN.

Anyway, if they do reduce the price and keep being reliable I’m a happy customer.

Yesterday was a busy day — Andy had to go to Albuquerque in the morning and Beate and Tim are at their place for about three weeks…so we drove up to say hi in the afternoon. We stopped at Subway for our supper, of course. Here are two pictures of Andy:

It was perfect timing because I think yesterday was the first day that people could go inside to order. Some of the tables were blocked off for social distancing, and we hope they’re successful. We don’t go often, but it’s a special treat when we go up to the land for a picnic.

just getting out is refreshing in itself sometimes.

I would love to go somewhere and have a picnic…maybe I will talk Roger into that one day. Subway is one place that if I go in and smell that smell…I am instantly hungry!

  3. that’s great that “you can go inside” – that was one of the issues here for what seemed ages, when finally other types of food businesses could open up, you had to have a car, or be served through some sort of hatch/window on the sidewalk.

great too have your best neighbours around…they are sure to be interested in your greenhouse and what else Andy has achieved; as well as keeping an eye on him….and indirectly you.

Yes, we think Kaitlin has asked them for a report on us, because she can’t come for the Fourth of July to see for herself this. She wants to come, but she’s worried about flying because of COVID 19.

Wild clapping that you have your internet back! Life without internet is no fun at all. Glad you got a chance to get out of the house and go up to your land and have a picnic. We used to go on a picnic to the beach but it’s been years maybe we need to rethink that

I’m so used to seeing Andy out on the land, it’s strange seeing him in more everyday surroundings!
