Crazy Squash

Andy brought these squash home yesterday…a couple of them were too hard to cut with a knife. The ones I could cut weren’t as soft as regular zucchini, but I’m cooking them anyway.

Life is full of surprises. Have you ever seen squash like this?

No, I haven’t seen anything like these. But brownies made from zucchini squash sounds mighty good right now!

The one on the far left looks like a hot pepper because of it’s shape. I’ve seen all different shapes with the ones that come into the store.

No, I’ve not … how curious! Did you cook them in the InstantPot? I’m interested in knowing how they taste.

  8. I don’t know. Our squash are just “squash looking”. ~grin~ Green and yellow ones.

They are delicious, sliced, sauteed with some butter/oil and sliced onion, green pepper, mushrooms, etc.

These cook like winter squash even though they were supposed to be summer squash. We’ll buy our seeds from another company next year. 🙂
