More Pictures

I put more pictures from last Tuesday’s trip on Flickr here. Here are five of them:

And here are two of Andy’s attempts to take a picture of the roadrunner who is now hanging around up there. Andy was facing the sun, so he could only aim point the camera and hope for the best.

Andy will try again if the roadrunner stays.

some beautiful shots. the road getting dark… unusual to see it then.
and I think Andy did really well. it’s the bird’s job to blend in! xo

Roadrunners are awesome. I look forward to any and all of his attempts! We have none in the entire state likely, and I have never seen a real one. I love the effect of the country road with the headlights on it!

I’ll tell him. He doesn’t carry his camera with him, but he says if he sees a roadrunner from the house he’ll remember to take more pictures.

  3. Cindi says:

I kinda see it in the last photo!
I’m also in awe of Andy kneeling down like that.
I could do that a few years ago but now when I do, I have to push myself up off the ground and I’m worried I’ll fall over and then I’ll have real trouble getting up!
    I’m in awe!
    xoxo

In the first picture the roadrunner’s neck is in the upper middle of the picture In the second picture its body, neck, and back of head is in the right half of the picture. It does blend in nicely.

I’ll tell Andy what you said about kneeling. 🙂

  4. a great selection of the land, the greenhouse, Andy working and an animal I don’t know about…I always think of the cartoon strip with the “road runner” never thought of as being a real animal…

Number for is just absolutely gorgeous or maybe spectacular or Majestic or fantastic any of that fits I love that photo. I also love the view of your Greenhouse. Thanks for your comments and the past two days

  6. I’ve never seen a roadrunner! How cool.

  7. Myra Guca says:

That second image seems to totally define what’s meant by, ‘a labor of love’!

  8. Hootin Anni says:

From experience those roadrunner are FAST! I usually get a blurred piece of nothing in my attempts. My favorite today is the 3rd one down.

  9. Ann Thompson says:

Where there’s a roadrunner there must be a coyote too…lol
In that first picture you can really see how big everything is getting in the green house. It did well.

    • Jean says:

We have plenty of coyotes, but this is the first roadrunner we’ve seen. 🙂 I took the greenhouse pictures to show how tall and extensive the tomato plants are. We didn’t expect that. 🙂

  10. Rose Swalls says:

Is that a beet And has in his hand? It looks huge. Roadrunner was one of my nicknames in school…I always ran to get ahead of everyone when thos of us that walked home was let out the doors.

    • Jean says:

Yes, that’s a beet. And it was huge…I had trouble finding a pot big enough to cook it. It was pale in the inside layers, red in the outer ones.

  11. Lovely. Looks like you had a nice time.
