Snow!

We’re in the midst of an exceptional drought, so we were thrilled to see the snow. Andy didn’t take any pictures because he had to put chains on the Jeep to get to the land and didn’t get there until noon. He spent the afternoon plowing the roads. As usual, never a dull moment.

it’s beautiful! and if it’s a good wet snow it will surely help your drought!
I know the 8 inches we got a few weeks ago did help our drought.
    every little bit helps!

It looks pretty. I hope it is helpful to your drought.

  6. amazing – now that’s a grand idea, if my region in the upper part of the North Island, New Zealand – could have snow that would fix our ailing water dam supplies!

So you’re having a drought too? Nasty stuff. 🙁

    • We haven’t truly got a “drought” more the city fathers haven’t keep pace with population growth – i.e. build more dams!

    • Jean says:

That’s a big problem, but not as bad as scarce water.

    • well yes and no – if your business relies on lots of water – like a water blaster house cleaning company – or even a car wash; then you’ve basically screwed. There were water restrictions from all through late Winter and Spring. I think it’s only just been lifted.

All the buses were not washed, so many that have to go on dirt roads or just picked up pollution or other were very unclean.

We’ve had this problem it seems every few decades and to gov’t then decides that a subsidy on roof tanks should be in place. This particularly if you’ve a big gardener…
