Hurray, New Mexico!

We received an email last night telling us how to registrate for our Moderna vaccine this Saturday. They said first come first served, so I called Andy and we both signed up for 10 AM at the Senior Center here in town.

We will fill out our health questionnaire that morning. The site is very friendly and said:

We value our Seniors, and are ready, willing and eager to vaccinate you! (finally, right?).

This is a closed event for Seniors age 75+ (all vaccines have been assigned by the NM Dept of Health scheduler). Do not share your code.

On the day of your appointment, you will have to access your Dept of Health Profile to complete your medical questionnaire; please complete PRIOR to arriving for your COVID Vaccine.

Please wear a mask and short sleeves. Please bring all insurance cards (especially your Medicare red, white and blue card) as well. This is a drive thru clinic so you will remain in your vehicle at all times. No public restrooms will be available. Please plan accordingly.

Buckle up, and see you soon. We’re stronger together NM!!!

I will let you know how it goes. So far I’m impressed by our state.

Awesome!!! We wish ours would do a drive thru clinic. It is just too cold to have to stand outside and wait in line. We are still waiting for new appointments to open. Our first set was cancelled:(

    oh good!
I hope it goes well!! my second shot is on 2/15 at 7:45. we were asked not to come over 10 minutes early. the first shot was just excellently done.
ours was in a huge meeting room of Embassy Suites hotel here in town.
we were in a line in the lobby that moved very quickly. they took each person’s temperature. then… the room itself. quiet and carpeted and lovely.
everyone wore masks and chairs were in rows spaced well apart.
they did it row by row. all we needed was a printed copy of their email to us with our ID # that they had issued at the lab!
and like you. I was so impressed by their organization! it went smoothly. like clockwork!
we were vaccinated one row at a time and then after sitting for 15 minutes to see if we had any reaction… our whole row was then orderly released! it was so cool! xoxo

That’s wonderful. However, I don’t understand why some states have 75 as age limit and others 65. Thankfully my state (GA) is 65 so hubby and I got our first and will receive 2nd in early Feb. We had no side effects other than hubby had sore arm. My sister (a nurse at a big hospital) got her 2nd this week along with other nurses and she and many others have been sick, sick…fever, chills, achy…like the flu. They are the only ones I’ve heard who have had reaction. Sure hope we don’t!!!! Hope yours will go well and I feel sure it will.

  6. sounds promising and the followup and so forth is good…

Pray the drive-thru line is not LONG!

Gosh, that’s all very stringent. I had my first vaccination yesterday and I just had to wear a face mask and declare that I was physically well.

we have nothing going on here in FL and there are 22,000 over 75 in our county waiting. we have a wait in line website but i signed that 3 weeks ago and nothing. so happy to hear you can get yours done. no restrooms means i would have to skip water and coffee before i went. ha ha
