Kaitlin, Torben and the pups are coming the evening of July 3rd, and they’ll stay on the land about six days. I decided I should practice taking pictures with my iPhone before they come…so a week or so ago I walked the couple of blocks over to our pond to take pictures of Homer and Edna, our resident geese.
I also took a photo of the sunset. It wasn’t dramatic…as usual the sun just disappeared behind the mountains.
There are few more pictures in this Flickr album.

Iphone plus you: a great photo-taking combination. Thanks for the geese. I look forward to more.
🙂
Very good shots. I especially like the reflections in the water at twilight!
🙂
oh how Beautiful!
I had no idea you’re only a couple of blocks from the pond and park there!
these are great pictures.
and I see the other little duck has a companion now too! 🙂 xoxo
I think there are three ducks total, but last night I only saw one, between Homer and Edna. I checked, we’re 0.3 miles from there, an easy walk.
I’m happy for you that you’re going to see your family for some quality time.
Thanks.
Oh, I love Homer and Edna! More so, to hear Kaitlin, Torben and the ‘kids’ are coming to visit. Aren’t you thrilled?
It’s been a year and a half since we’ve seen them. Yes, we’re happy about the visit. 🙂
oh that’s great that K & T plus T & Z are going to be coming to see you both…and of course the land.
Yep, looks like you’ve caught the likeness of Homer and Edna – your blog title intrigued me no end 🙂
🙂
That will be a week of fun for all!! Take lots of pictures and share with us…I loved (of course I would) the geese!!
The geese do add a lot. 🙂
Love the photos. that pond looks like a great place to sit and relax.
That will be nice having them there for 6 whole days.
We’re looking forward to it. 🙂
It looks like you were lucky to catch the geese on that side of the very large pond! Did you invite them to an exciting photo op, lol?
Someone was feeding them. But last night no one else was there and they were still at that side of the pool.
You did a great job. Can’t wait for their visit to see the pictures you take.
🙂
Nice to meet Edna and Homer. Your photos are superb!!! Hope you all have a fantastic visit. We would so love to visit with our son and family in Texas or have them here – we haven’t seen them since September 2019!!! But our daughter-in-law has to have rotator cuff surgery in a few weeks so life will be tough for her for a while.

It’s been since December 2019 for us. That”s bad enough!
