The Brush Cutter and the Weed Whacker

Among other things Sunday, Andy, Kaitlin, and Torben changed the blade of the brush cutter.

Both Kaitlin and Torben tested it to see how it worked. Here’s a picture of Torben trying it on the steep slope by the house.

Later Kaitlin used the weed whacker to trim the grass.

Yesterday they trimmed some of the grass down in the orchard, pictures about that later.

They get to choose if they want to work or not, but we’re all project people. And don’t forget, when Kaitlin was young we spent weekends working on projects as a family up there.

Nice. Invite them out and then put them to work!

  8. Kaitlin and Torben appear to having a ball on the land….far away from the maddening crowd. How are the pups doing?

    • Jean says:

They love it up there. The pups ran off exploring Monday morning, so they are no longer trusted off-leash outside. That’s a disappointment. 🙁

nothing like a fun working vacation. a blessing for your mountain top. bob uses weed wacker to cut the grass in our back yard, the yard is mostly sand with a few patches of grass, we leave most of it for Beau to eat when he needs grass. i truly would love to wander on your mountain top
