Poor Little Grey Cells

I’ve spent quite a few hours last night and today trying to understand the difference between GraphicConverter, Photoshop Elements, and Photoshop..seeing which is best for different purposes. My poor little brain is fried…fingers crossed it recovers.

In the meantime, I put some of my pictures from Thursday night in this Flickr album.

Look at this gogeous sky! With a photo like this, you do not need ANY editing! But good for you for learning, I haven’t even tried because I know it will be too hard for me to understand.

This needed editing because Andy and the foreground were way underexposed and I didn’t want to wash out that gorgeous sky. It took a while to do.

That’s an amazing photo!!! I tried to do Photoshop Elements and Photoshop. I am fine as long as I have a specific class to follow, but to start on my own from scratch – I gave up:(

I know how easily my brain can get fried when I’m trying to figure things like that out.
I’m sure everyone will have a different opinion on programs. You just have to figure out which works best for you. I can tell you that Photoshop has a lot more features than Photoshop elements and for the money, unless you are doing photos professionally, Photoshop elements is enough to do what you need in most cases.

The condition my brain cells are in right now I can’t even make PicMonkey work correctly so the three that you mentioned would be an absolute know since Photoshop in the past was my nemesis

  7. When you figure it out, let us know! ?

    • Jean says:

So far Photoshop Elements is the easiest to use for this project. And I’m starting to do things automatically, so I’ve learned a lot.

  8. I’m very happy to hear that you were “using your grey cells” – I have no idea about editing other than the crop tool that does that, take out things I don’t want in a photo. On the other hand “frying” them not a good idea but I understand the concept.
