Food for Thought

I was cleaning out old files and came across this quote. I’m afraid I don’t know who to give the credit to.

There comes a time in life when you walk away ftom all the drama and people who create it.

Surround yourself with people who make you laugh, forget the bad, and focus on the good.

Love the people who treat you right. Pray for the ones who don’t.

Life is too short to be anything but happy.

Falling down is part of life, getting up is living.

Does any of that resonate with you?

With a little Google searching, I found this, and I also think it is very good advice.

For sure, I bet a lot of us can relate to this. I love it, and it is so true!

  4. Take the parts of any quote – that you need right then – don’t dwell on why – just do – even if it seems “too hard” ….

I’ve been doing a fair amount of closing “doors” of late – some of very liberating, some of it rather sad. Particularly in relationship to a bully who was once a good friend.
I’ve tried to find some common ground but it appears after this mornings’ phone chat (making sure I was okay in lockdown) that there is no change in her attitude towards me…apparently yet again, I’m not making the right decisions!
And yet again, said bully can’t understand why I’d chosen to back away from some groups and that I rather like my solitude…yep, another “wrong decision”

But actually that solitude, partially forced upon me in the last year, has shown me so much about me. But also now in our lockdown, that solitude is grounding…

My motto is “Stay curious and open to life. No matter what happens keep learning and growing. Find what you love and find a way to share it with others.” It sounds as if you are learning and growing as well as doing your art and sharing it with others. 🙂

I can relate to the quote. I’ve seen this one before and have always liked it.

the last line resonates with me the most. it is also the hardest one to follow. the drama in my life comes from hubby so the first one is not an option.. Beau is our happy place and the provider of much needed laughter

that quote is a whole philosophy of life for me! it’s wonderful.
I have also read it before but this time I’ll keep it handy.
thank you for posting it! xoxo

  8. I love all of these … but what shouts the loudest is #1. I didn’t realize it at the time, but on what may have been the happiest day of my life? The time I walked away from the ‘successful’ job that was costing me my mental and physical health and came to live here on the slow lane.

Indeed, it’s beneficial to walk away from drama and people who create it. They’re too exhausting.

  10. Rose says:

    Does it ever resonate!

  11. It sounds like a good plan.
