The New Bed

People asked what the mattress is. Its a Sealy Atwater Village Hybrid, full size.

Kaitlin found the description:

It combines the support of motion-reducing encased coils with breathable memory foam and supportive gel foam for best-of-both-worlds comfort. The reinforced edge increases durability, while the moisture-wicking antibacterial cover helps keep you cool and keep the mattress protected. Available in a tight top firm.

Surface-Guard™ and MoistureProtect™
Foam layers: 0.5″ SealyCool gel memory foam, 2.5″ SealySupport gel foam medium
Base: 1″ SealySupport™ Gel Foam
Response™ encased coil
660 coil count
StableEdge™ Pro

Ours is the tight top firm, whatever that means.

The main thing is Kaitlin slept on it last night and says it’s comfortable.

The neat thing is Andy and I ordered a bed frame for it Thursday night, and it arrived this morning before we left for the land. Andy and Kaitlin put it together:

So the bed is now officially off our to-do list.

    Looks great!! And comfortable.

  2. Ginny Hartzler says:

Wow, it sounds super fancy and comfy. And I find that comfort means so much more to us as we get older. And you can usually rely on a famous name brand, too.

  3. MadSnapper says:

it is so hard to shop for a bed, and comfort is what i seek but not all beds described as comfortable are comfort for everyone. glad you found one that is comfort for Kaitlin…. that is all that matters, perfect timing for the frame to arrive.

  4. Rose says:

    Glad it is as described.

Thanks for sharing the link! Mine needs replacing, sooner rather than later.

If you deal with Ashley you might read the reviews first. The people at the Santa Fe store were very friendly, but the communication with the fellows who delivered was a minor nightmare.

Ok, I can’t stop staring at Andy. How is he crouched down like that? And is he able then to stand right up?! If I tried to bend down like that my leg would scream in pain and give out and I’d be lying on the floor sideways. Then I’d have to get on my knees and find something to pull myself up on. I’m just amazed! Just wow!

  7. Ann Thompson says:

This one sounds like a good one. The mattress I have retains the heat after you have been in the same spot for a while and in the summer it can get pretty miserable.
