Thanksgiving 2010

We went up to the land again on Thanksgiving 2010, of course.

There are more pictures here on Flickr.

It was a wonderful Thanksgiving and we’re still grateful for the help Torben and Kaitlin gave us. It was invaluable.

When we walked inside the boundaries of the house we knew where the walls were going to be but we needed to figure out what size windows we wanted and how far above the ground they should be. We also had to figure out how wanted the kitchen. The architect never did give us an accurate floor plan, so Torben created one for us using PowerPoint when we got back to the apartment. We used that when we picked out the cabinets, etc.

Thank you both so much! We will never forget it.

It’s always good to have kids with skills.

  2. a wonderful memory and of course the cottage turned out pretty good, methinks…and now the addition of a better bed, Torben and Kaitlin will be back again real soon – oops maybe not this winter but next Spring. Oh let’s not forget the next big project the “greenhouse” which this year has paid dividends in the food line up…

Nice that Torben was able to do that for you.

as much as I enjoyed your memories on Flicker I can only imagine how browsing through this history for years ago effects you and your family. It is so great that your family and friends can view you memories anytime they want to. unlike the albums we used to have and mine are now packed in a hope chest 500 miles away… enjoy your thanksgiving day
