So much for the winds dying down. Now the National Weather Service says,
..THREE MORE DAYS OF CRITICAL FIRE WEATHER CONDITIONS EXPECTED, THEN A BREAK WITH LIGHTER WINDS FRIDAY THROUGH THE WEEKEND…
It reminds me of our favorite meteorologist years ago. Once after he had been completely wrong, the next day he explained what had happened instead and added,
One thing about the weather, it sure is unpredictable.
Too funny.

I’m amazed at the technological discoveries and abilities of man and that he hasn’t found a way to control the weather yet. I wonder if it’s something ‘they’re working on! now THAT will be interesting! xo
I’m afraid I’m with Calvin’s Hobb,
We could use with a lot more humility. 😀
Ours doesn’t seem to be unpredictable: dry, wind, lots of sun, no rain. A weatherman I worked with in Phoenix used to be kidded about his nightly phrase: “high pressure dominates.”
Yep. 🙁
Weather people are the only ones who can be wrong so often and still have a job.
It’s not their fault, there are too many unknowns.
Well, a tiny bit of good news. I am glad you can still laugh at things.
No problem there. 🙂
i live on a narrow isthmus of land between to oceans and the weather is totally unpredictable!
I imagine it is!
I haven’t seen your blog posts the last few days…I was thinking the worst, and holding out for the best…glad to “see” you pop upon my feed once again. Now I’m gonna go catch up on your news…happy to know you two are okay.
Thanks.
yes it IS funny to hear a weather person say weather is unpredictable when that is what he does for a living. I am so happy each morning to find a post here
Thanks. That meteorologist was great. He always told us why he was predicting what he was. He was a scientist, but as he said in a talk once, being a weatherman on TV was just show biz. We loved that guy.
Isnt it funny. We know they can be wrong, but we still watch the weather and plan accordingly.
Andy watches it every night. I check Dark Sky and don’t spend much time on it.
Our favorite meteorologist catches ‘heat’ regularly, but like yours, Josh keeps a good sense of humor. I guess that’s a necessary trait.
Yes!
I remember a weatherman reporting he’d had a phone call from an irate woman who complained she had 7″ of ‘partly cloudy’ on her walkway and driveway!
Hope the fires are quenched soon.
Hugs!
That phone call story is a riot! Thanks for the good wishes.
