Beate and Andy had told me the gazing ball was still there, but I didn’t have a chance to take a picture of it when I went up last month. I had another chance when we went up for a picnic lunch yesterday afternoon.
Here’s a picture from my Nikon using the telephoto lens:

Here it is zoomed.
And this is a picture taken from my iPhone. The gazing ball is in the middle of the white circle.
Yes, the gazing ball is still there and all’s right with the world.

now why on earth should that bring a tear to my eyes? but it did!
I’m so glad it survived. xo
Thanks. 🙂
I have always wanted to have a gazing ball in the garden, but the three hooligans would probably race right into it:)
I imagine they would. But they are worth it. 😀
That gazing ball is really planted well! It is sturdy!
The third time is a charm. 😀
the fire and storms have not uprooted it – maybe it kept the fire god away from your properties – great news
😀
I would say that gazing ball is a symbol of strength.
It’s fun. I love the ritual of looking for it.
The Amazing Gazing Ball! OH WOW! so happy it survived and I can see there was fire around it. Maybe this ball is MAGIC! I am also very happy your buildings survived along with the amazing gazing ball
Thanks. We’re happy about that too. 🙂
I had not thought of your gazing ball! I, too, am glad it is still there.
Thanks. 🙂
What a wonderful feeling!
Now I’m wondering what’s that big yellow image at the top right. Can’t tell if it’s a water tower or one of those firefighters’ bladder thingies.
Neither. It’s a house that a couple built years ago…it’s unfinished and they’re trying to sell it. Andy and I think the land would be more valuable without it…it’s a mess inside. (We’ve never been in it but the realtor has posted pictures.)
I’m surprised the heat of the fire didn’t cause it to break. It’s got to be a good feeling to see it still there.
Yes, it is. 🙂
Glad it’s still there!
Thanks. 🙂
