A Beautiful Misty, Moisty Day

They had predicted heavy rains for a couple of hours, but it was mostly a light gentle drizzle most of the day.

I played with my toys and Andy worked on his electronics.

Here’s a movie closeup of what he was doing.

This is some really advanced stuff. I can’t even tell what he s fixing, something to do with computers.

    • Jean says:

He’s building a circuit he designed to automatically control the heating from the solar panels on the roof. It’s complicated. 🙂

  2. Ginny+Hartzler says:

There is a song by Steeleye Span about a Misty Moisty Morning. In fact, that may be the title of the song.

    • Jean says:

I think of the Mother Goose rhyme,

      One misty, moisty morning,
      When cloudy was the weather,
I chanced to meet an old man clothed all in leather.
He began to compliment, and I began to grin,
How do you do, and how do you do?
And how do you do again?

      I love misty, moisty. 🙂

    Genius!! Genius at work!!

  4. Ann Thompson says:

I don’t know that I would have such steady hands when doing work like that.
Misty, moisty morning reminds me of the same Mother Goosy rhyme.

that close up work is amazing that he can still do it and I wish bob had something like that he liked to do. your mountain top is gorgeous. so happy you did not have the flash floods and that all is well.

    • Jean says:

They’re still warning about flash floods, and he did get some heavy rain today. We’ll have to see if it messed up the roadwork we just had done. But we do need the rain. More blog fodder?

  6. So, this is Andy’s play pen! I can’t think of any others with a better view!

  7. I couldn’t do that in a hundred years.

  8. Rose says:

Better Andy than me…in more ways than one. First of all, I wouldn’t know what I was doing. But even if I did, sometimes my hands just start shaking at the least expected times.

    • Jean says:

His do too from time to time, but mostly they work. Life does get more complicated as time goes on. Doing the best we can with what we have left.

  9. love Myra’s take on the “play pen”
