Greenhouse

I went to the land with Andy yesterday, and the plants in the greenhouse are doing fine, especially the nasturtium, lettuce, and corn. Click on the pictures for higher resolution, or go to the album on Flickr to see them and others.

So do you have it set to somehow water them automatically every so often?

Yes, Andy has it set up to water automatically. That’s why they did so well during the last fire, when we couldn’t go up for about 3 1/2 weeks.

the corn is looking fantastic and so is the nasturtium. smiling over all those gages and electrical stuff I can see at the back side. all that work Andy has done

  4. I love the “crisp green” look that everything has – and it all looks orderly 🙂

It is fun to watch stuff grow! I was just thinking, do bees get in to pollinate? Or are there fans that seem to do the job?

I saw exactly one honeybee this past summer. I had cucumber plants that bloomed like crazy but no cucumbers to eat. I wish I had taken a qtip and tried to pollinate them myself.

We had a few little tomatoes…but not near as many as there were blooms.
