Fingers Crossed

We got our latest (fifth) Covid shots yesterday. We didn’t bring our official card because we thought no one was looking at them now. So the nurse gave us the slip of paper for us to tape onto the card when we got home. It’s a good idea to have a record of what they gave us and when, but the walk-in clinic is associated with our doctor’s office, so they have that information too.

Anyway, except for a sore arm I feel normal today. Fingers crossed!

Fifth booster? Isn’t that a bit overboard on the immunization? I had to Google…
“…T cells become dysfunctional when they repeatedly see antigen…”

We got ours on Tuesday. The previous had all been at a Walmart pharmacy, but they didn’t have the new one yet. Karen checked at Walgreens and it turned out they had it. We plan to visit family soon so wanted to be as protected as possible.

Karen decided to check on the flu shot today, again at Walmart, where, again, they didn’t have the seasonal flu shot yet. She decided to try the Walmart Neighborhood Market on the other side of town… and they had it.

  3. that’s great news

I’m still behind on the ball park but things are different in NZ including which brand of vaccine. My next one was delayed because of succumbing to Omiron/covid which means vaccine not on the cards until October.

Suddenly everything here is on the cards of “major investigation into to public health and gov’t ideals that they put in place” – some heavy duty bods seem to think their method was all wrong, and that blah, blah, blah should have happened – not sure if that would have been better, as I’m fairly sure something so worldwide was “handled as best as able” anywhere in the world…

After the first two original shots I quit. I never got any of the boosters.

the 5th one has not been available to us, but yesterday we went for our Senior Flu shot and the pharmacist said they have it in now, to make an appointment. we just had the 4th in May so will make the variant appt. THEY say this covers a lot of the new virus. who knows? we sure don’t. The Covid shots we can’t get without and appt. flu shots are walkin and get it.

  6. I can’t decide which to get first — the booster or the flu vaccine. Last year I made the mistake of getting them at the same time, one in each arm. Sleeping comfortably was near impossible the next two nights.

They say it’s all right to get them at the same time, but I’m with you, space them out. We like to get our flu shots in early October, so we decided to get the booster first.
