When Would You Guess?

When I was looking for the pictures for yesterday’s post I came across these. When would you guess they were taken?

They were taken May 1, 2016. Spring can be erratic.

I also remember the Memorial Day years ago when Andy’s brother and his family came to visit. We had snow flurries to go with our picnic on the land. We had enough warm coats to go around, but they clearly preferred their St. Louis weather. Sigh….

bob is from PA and he said they knew it could snow anytime until after memorial day.. that is why he moved to FL in 1970, I would have guessed Dec/Jan not May

It was unusual to have a snowstorm that late, but the first year we were here the town got two feet of snow the first week in April. It melted soon after, of course.

When we lived in Colorado, we’d have picnics in the high country in JULY with snow!!!

  3. Yep, I’m a believer! You certainly can’t call Mother Nature predictable.

  4. Snow is sure different out where you live than here in MI. You can drive out of the high country and the snow or wait for it to burn off with the sun. Here it tends to stay around all winter.

Spring snow! We have had snowstorms in March, but that is the latest spring snow. This is unbelievable!

Well living in Pennsylvania all my life, I know snow in May is possible. It wouldn’t make me too happy though.

  7. the “seasons” don’t always do what we believe they should be doing…

here if you live in the South Island (I live in the North Island) it’s been known to snow in Summer time – it only takes a severe storm from the Antarctic to do that kind of messing with people.

it’s Spring here now, as you know – of late it’s felt like winter with a lot of rain, a lot of gloom and a whole like of chill. Today turned out nice looking, no rain but boy was it cold in the shade or in a wind tunnel…
