A Great Month for Weather Watching

February down here is one of my favorite months. It’s often above freezing during the day and the days are getting longer, so usually if we get snow it starts melting in a day or so. It’s colder up in the mountains, of course, and I’m curious to see what will happen in the Valle Grande.

Sunday’s webcam showed the icicles were gone, but there was a big chunk of ice/snow in the upper right hand corner of the screen.

Yesterday that was gone and it was nice most of the day. It did cloud over for a while, but then the sun came out again.

We could also see the moon in the evening…I’ll talk about that tomorrow.
