Snow Days

Andy stayed home yesterday and will again today. They predicted only a couple of inches of snow, but it was very windy…they predicted about 40 mph, with gusts maybe up to 55 mph. It shouldn’t be so bad today, but no doubt the roads will be a mess. The plans are for him to go up tomorrow if it looks like things have settled down.

Needless to say, Kaitlin and I are happy about that decision!

It was windy down here too, not quite as bad, but it was nice to be able to stay warm and snug inside.

We had snow in the morning that turned to rain yesterday. It was a good day to stay home.

Winter woes. And we broke an all time high yesterday…95°

Wind is the worse, I can take cold better than wind. I am glad he is out of it!

  4. Good decision! Is Kaitlin there visiting?

Very strong winds here yesterday. A (dead) tree blew over across the street and the owner cut it up with a chain saw. Our heavy metal wind chime had blown down. Snow. Then melted and snowing again this evening. It’s begun to stick again.

  6. well it both cold and raining here – in all the recent bad weather – it has not been cold or thundery.
apparently a southerly which is cold wind has collided with the pacific wet – and that has meant thunderstorms… and at times it’s looked like what I deem straight down sheet rain.
I closed up the curtains real early so I wasn’t looking at the weather – I ran the washer with the last of this weeks clothing and of course it’s out there – being well rinsed. I understand this rain will be gone fast …
