the woman is not playing with a full deck. it is adorable and oh so cute but not a great idea… i can’t see me that calm with a bear, or even someone elses dog
It worked for her, but I wouldn’t try it. 🙂

Oh my. I would be running for that door and slamming it quick if there was a bear trying to open it.
She didn’t want to make the bear aggressive, but the usual suggestions are to make a lot of noise and scare the bear.
That is just crazy. Once that door was close to be closed, I would be slamming it and bolting it lickety split.
I would close it and lock it and call the authorities.
