Are You Sure It’s Still January?

It rained a little yesterday afternoon.

2:45 p.m.

Then the sun came out.

3:44 p.m.

I’m with the scientists that are calling it “global weirding.” The cause is the same as “global warming,” but “weirding” means it’s not always hotter in some places, just that the old normal is gone. It has been different here. And we don’t know what to expect.

    Yes

Our summer was supposed to quite different to “usual” model. But then it flipped to another unheard of model, In which by mid morning it had reached its peak but then stayed on and on…not always lowering down.

Of course I’m in an inland city now, so I’m unsure what is what. But I gather its not normal!

I’ll get back you next year!

Of course last year for my then city it was dreadful…and it’s coming up to that diabolical storm followed a few weeks and a cyclone… everyone is on tender hooks!

I like the global weirding, and have not heard that so far. there are many people who don’t believe in global warming, they post things on social media, like photos of their car buried in snow and say so much for global warming. they don’t get the part about what it really is, is everything that was the norm is no longer. cold is colder, at different times, hot is hotter, like the rogue wave that hit a military base in Hawaii yesterday. it is all a part of the Weirding..

  3. Our seasons are shifting aren’t they. At least that seems to be the trend here in Michigan.

    • Jean says:

Yes, we used to love Michigan tart cherry preserves, but apparently the trees don’t like the climate change, so our preserves are a lot harder to find. Not the worst consequence of the changes, of course,

  4. Myra Guca says:

Gotta admit, Mother Nature’s not predictable!

  5. Ginny Hartzler says:

Yes, man is ruining the environment. I have been going back and forth between the two photos, looking at the huge difference!

  6. It’s sure been crazy here too, from 18 degrees to 65!

  7. Ann Thompson says:

Global weirding fits our weather. Our winters are nothing like they used to be.

  8. The weather has definitely been different over the years.

  9. The OP Pack says:

and the snow is gone here as the temperature today wne to 50 degrees. We are headed for a week of 50s. Finally I will be able to get out and enjoy my walks with the pups.
