Lesson Learned?

Last April in So Who Did the Damage to the Drip Irrigation? I wrote about the damage the deer did to the drip lines for the trees Andy is nurturing.

He replaced the broken sections and the system worked fine for the rest of the season.

The trouble is this year the deer again damaged some of the lines with their sharp hooves when they walked around grazing on the new grass. Andy noticed that it was only the thinner lines that have been damaged so far, so last week he replaced the broken ones with thicker tubing.

Fingers crossed that solves the problem.

Just call Andy, The Fixer! those trees need water to grow and grow. I just showed bob your flowering trees and said, we have no blooming trees here, lack of water is the reason. the trees are surviving and green but no blooms, no bees either.. ask the Fixer if he can fix our lack of rain. hope the deer can’t harm these

Deer and mice were always the culprits when I worked at orchard. We had drip irrigation in strawberries…
