I’m not like Calvin, I usually try avoid physical risks — and I don’t think the alternative is “stupefying security.” However….
For the first time in my life I bought a really sharp chef’s knife. I’ve wanted one for years.
It cuts vegetables like a dream and I love it. On the other hand….
I’ll let you know if I cut myself — feel free to say “I told you so.”

I am Not a Risk Taker, I don’t gamble, or take any physical risk, other than walking at my age, ha ha…. everything is a risk as we get older and older. I would not ride with Calvin either
I agree that physical risks increase as we get older. 🙂
…I’m a risk taker if I like the odds.
🙂
Be careful with that sharp knife
Not a risk taker
I’ll try to be careful. 🙂
This is a really nice knife and I sure hope it treats you well. I wouldn’t say that I’m a big risk taker, but to have this knife, I would certainly adventure out into a more risky life… LOL… cute cartoon..
🙂
I LOVE sharp knives too. I even bought a good sharpener. I did buy a mandolin – I cut my knuckle down to the bone. So be careful girl.
I wouldn’t try a mandolin — way too dangerous for someone like me. 🙂
I take some risks, but not others. I’m very impulsive but not reckless. I’m a complicated woman:)
🙂
I am definitely a risk taker. Sometimes I win, sometimes I lose. The thing with being able to take a risk is the ability to accept failure. In a physical risk that can mean pain. I raised horses……..
I’m impressed by your experience with horses. 🙂
I’m no longer a risk taker in my elder years!
Wise man!!
I’m not a risk taker. That knife is lovely. You’re going to be okay with it.
Enjoy your weekend.
I hope you have a great weekend too. 🙂
I am not a risk taker; I like to over plan.
I’ve read that the most dangerous tool in the kitchen is a dull knife. A sharp knife cuts like it’s supposed to do. Enjoy yours.
Thanks. 🙂
It looks like a great knife ? Take your time, I am sure it will be very useful.
🙂
I don’t like taking risks. I do have a knife like that. It’s a Pioneer Woman knife. I’ve cut myself with it twice.
It’s easy to do.
An excellent tool that makes the job easier is a bonus isn’t a risk. Make sure, though, you don’t use it when having a “bad day” that’s a recipe for disaster. Slow and easy wins the race.
Yes, definitely slow and pay attention!
