Happy Valentine’s Day, but this isn’t about romantic love, it’s about people countering all the cruelty and destruction going on in the world by focusing on love and connection.
I haven’t watched the Super Bowl in years, and when I did in the past I never watched the half time shows. But I was touched by this image of the billboard, so I read more about the Bad Bunny program afterwards. It makes me happy that it was an outstanding success — it gives me hope that maybe the hatred and destruction won’t win in the end.
And, of course, there was the quiet Buddhist Walk for Peace with its little dog Aloka. As the leader said, it wasn’t a protest… “just a reminder that hope still exists.”
So hurray for love, and for kindness and compassion. All is not lost.

A wonderful message. The world could use a lot more love.
Yes. 🙂
…I wonder what Donny’s Valentines Day message will be, SOBS?
It won’t be loving.
You should translate some Bad Bunny Lyrics. Happy Valentine’s Day from all of us!
I hope you had a great day!
I think love is the only thing that will save us.
Hopefully.
Amen to this.
🙂
The sign is true, will humans follow it? I think not
Some will.
Happy Valentine’s Day.
I have to say that the one thing about the Bad Bunny performance is that they didn’t put the subtitles in English so we had no idea what he was singing.
As I said, I didn’t watch it. I agree subtitles would have been nice.
Ther Buddhist walk is wonderful and inspiring. I know the bible says that the darkness has been overcome by the light, but these days it seems like the darkness is so much stronger.
I have given up hope yet.
Minneapolis has been nominated for a Nobel Peace prize for our reactions to the ICE debacle here.

I don’t think it fits the rules, but I’m glad they are proposing it.
Hear hear!
🙂
Amen!

The Buddhist monks’ Walk for Peace came through here a few weeks ago … together with a little dog who ‘adopted’ them somewhere along the way and is now part of their team. Sweet!
That’s neat! The dog is precious. 🙂
I love this message. I also enjoyed the half-time show.
🙂
I love ?? this. Love is what the world ? needs.
Yes! 🙂
