Beate, Tim, and Andy went on their first Sunday walk of the season this week. They went up Cerro Grande and hope to take many more, longer, walks this summer. Last summer they couldn’t because the trails were closed due to the fire danger. Hurray for all the moisture we’ve had!
Thanks for the pictures, Beate and Tim!

yes thanks for the pictures from me as well…
🙂 They turned out well.
What a beautiful place for a hike. Glad they were able to get out there.
I’m also glad the sun came out for them!
Good to know the trails have been reopened now the fire danger has passed. I was very annoyed once when we were setting out on a walk in the Mourne Mountains (an hour’s drive away) to find a notice saying the path was closed because of a foot and mouth outbreak. I hadn’t seen any mention of the closures in the local media.
That’s too bad they didn’t warn you ahead of time. 🙁
They look happy up there! Nothing like a walk in spring to awaken the senses!
I agree!
I love these pictures Monk. they make me happy.
and somehow they make me think of people in the 30’s. a certain style.
the pith helmet of Andy’s and the walking stick. nostalgic to me. and Tim’s Australian looking bush hat!
and everything so beautifully GREEN! YAY!
I love the hats and the greenery too. 😀
