The Law of Attraction?

Have you ever had days like this? 😉

We all know the power of positive thinking, but is it enough? When the universe doesn’t meet our expectations do we need something a bit deeper? I sure think so.

Some days you just need to push the door!

The power of positive thinking is the icing on the cake of persistence.

I’m learning not to stomp around, say a few curse words when things don’t go my way. Such a load off my poor old body not doing that anymore. (Well-only seldom)

    Grannymar,
I cheerfully admit I never thought of that!

    Mike,
I agree, it’s the persistence and flexibility that counts. Positive thinking helps some people stay motivated. Other people are more internally motivated and keep persisting even though they don’t believe they will necessarily succeed.

    bikehikebabe,
I imagine that stomping around now would indeed be hard on the body. How are things going? Is the recovery getting any easier?

    I think so too.

I had a new part installed (hip replacement). I walk (without cane) on uneven ground, but can’t hike yet which involves stepping up onto rocks.

  7. Jean says:

    bikehikebabe,
Walking without even a cane sounds like great progress. Good luck on getting back to hiking. Thanks for letting us know. 🙂

    Evan,
I trusted you would. I still remember your “Ya think?” 🙂

I couldn’t find the post again, otherwise I would have linked to it.

  9. Evan says:

I think it was called, What Makes You Say ‘Ya Reckon?’ but ‘Ya Think?’ is probably better.

  10. Jean says:

    Evan,
Actually I like “Ya Reckon?” better, but I forgot.

Do I have days like that? Almost all my days are like that. You bet I need something deeper. That is, “let it be”. Remember that great Beatles song?

When I find myself in times of trouble, mother Mary comes to me,
speaking words of wisdom, let it be.
And in my hour of darkness she is standing right in front of me,
speaking words of wisdom, let it be.

Let it be, let it be, let it be, let it be.
Whisper words of wisdom, let it be.

And when the broken hearted people living in the world agree,
there will be an answer, let it be.
For though they may be parted there is still a chance that they will see,
there will be an answer. let it be.

Let it be, let it be, …..

And when the night is cloudy, there is still a light, that shines on me,
shine until tomorrow, let it be.
I wake up to the sound of music, mother Mary comes to me,
speaking words of wisdom, let it be.

Let it be, let it be, …..

    Rummuser,
Thank you! I’m adding that one to my toolbox. It’s comforting, which I can use right now.
