Crazy Day

When Andy finished watering yesterday the temperature was in the 50’s, but to be safe he drained all the watering lines. It was a good idea. By the time he left it was snowing and the temperature was in the 30’s and dropping. It looks as if we will have more cool spring weather for a few days.

It was misty and moisty down here today. We had a meeting with our contractor and architect so the architect could fix the mistakes in the plans for the greenhouse and the contractor could get the permits.

It was not to be. The architect didn’t show up and couldn’t be reached by phone. We’re guessing it might be health related but obviously don’t know. We can’t afford to diddle around much longer, so it could be we need to get a new architect, which will take more time and money. We left email and voice messages for the architect and will just have to see.

OK, so more practice with patience, a sense of humor, and a spirit of adventure.

When I got home I had another chance. I had gotten my laundry together before we went to the meeting so I could do it when I got back. I cheerfully carried it down to the laundry room only to see a sign on the door saying it was closed for maintenance. All right. That happened once before, so I drove over to some other apartments they own and did it there. (They had suggested that before — it’s not nearly as convenient but it works.)

Anyway, the laundry is now done and I’m home for the day. Time to take a nap!

wow. I suppose one might say that the moon or mercury or whatever is in retrograde! I hope the missing architect is okay and not seriously ill or worse.
spring is making quite a show here as well. it’s been very cool today and seems odd. but I love it! it has turned into our own monsoon season.

It was a cool day here too. Mom even grabbed her gloves when we were out walking:) We thought it felt good.

Hope your architect will be OK.

I imagine you love the cool weather — I do too! We don’t know why the architect didn’t let us know, we’re hoping it’s nothing serious.

  3. Th weather is crazy lately, isn’t it.

Hope your architect shows up with a good explanation for the missed appointment.

  4. it’s like summer this arvo here…although it was raining earlier…and instead of a nippy night of late it’s been too warm for my autumn bedding layers, just weird!
Other than that, crazy lady here with bits of cut paper, and folding them for notebooks; have stopped sewing them in, things “dropping” – wax, thread, then the needles…
See some of the paper on my blog, but no I didn’t construct it all today,..

I hate when people don’t show up and can’t be reached. Hope it wasn’t something serious.
I need to get to my laundry
