Snow!

This was the view from my bedroom window this morning:

And this was the view from our porch:

A lot of the snow has already melted because it got above freezing, but it is another warning that winter is coming.

  1. WOW that’s sure a warning…time to snuggle and rug up – depending what’s on the agenda that day…

here we had wonderful sun filled and fairly warm w/end (3 dayer) – today nice but not very sunny even though it’s after noon…but as some of you know, I didn’t really get out in the sun, although the view from my windows showed on average a bright blue sky…

everyone has gone back to work…so the guy on the other side of driveway who thought I might like to wake at 6am (sat/sun/mon) has put away his hammer and gone elsewhere… right now birds, a distance traffic occasionally and a lawn mower.

    Fire up the fireplace!

In fact the solar hating panels on the roof of the house up there are still working fine. There’s been enough sun for the temperature in the house to get up to 80. (Andy opens the window a bit when it gets too warm.)

Can’t imagine snow this early in the year….I know it is what you get used to, though.

The best guess is it won’t last and that we could get some nice weather for a few weeks before Thanksgiving. In the old days we would get snowed out around Thanksgiving.

Brrrrrr. I see there is snow in the forecast for us later in the week. I’m just not ready for this.

  5. Oh, no! I don’t need to hear the dirty four letter word this early in the season!

We woke up to snow too.
    About the same amount.
The pups had never seen snow before and Birdie was beside herself in happiness!
She was zooming around the yard as though she had lost her mind and Roy was in hot pursuit.
I should have tried to take a photo of it but I was much too grumpy at the sight of it.
