These pictures were taken November 30, the day after the crazy weather on November 29.
In Crazy Weather II I included Andy’s email:
…. Two problems–Cold water won’t work in kitchen but bathroom stuff OK, heater in living room quit and I can’t get it started again-probably due to wind since it was working OK this morning. Suspect cold water pipe is too close to outside and froze. I don’t see how to turn it off in case it leaks when warm without turning off the whole house. Sigh!
It turns out the water was fine the next day, no leaks and nothing needed to be done. Andy expected there would be no problem lighting the propane heater once the wind died down, but that wasn’t the case. For some reason he could never get it started, so Peter the plumber came up Wednesday. It was an easy fix — it lit right away for him. And he was very gracious. He said it’s like taking your car to the shop because of a strange noise — when you get there the noise has stopped. Anyway, things are working fine again so his trip wasn’t a waste, and it was good for a laugh.

yep the car noise analogy is so right…even when you finally get appt for almost every professional – i.e. the doctor and the pain you have someplace on your body, isn’t paining you!
or similar to the lighting of the propane object, the time when you can get a container open – the next person asked “just turns it and it opens”
my best joke of recent months was when I couldn’t get the cold tap for the washer to turn on – Marc tried it, no budge. I called prop manager who sent Isaac, who was sure I was having him on…the joke was on him, it wouldn’t budge! He had to get a wrench because indeed it wasn’t silly old lady lack of strength…

That first photo looks soooo cold…but I so love it. Glad there was no leaks…and glad the plumber got the propane heater started.
Snow is beautiful to look at, especially when we’re warm inside. 😀
As Northern breed dogs, we would really love some of that snow. Glad Andy was able to get things figured out.

Oh my, that first picture looks absolutely frigid. Glad it was an easy fix for the propane heater. Isn’t that the way it goes though. You call someone and they have no problem
