Keeping the mind occupied is a good thing. And the more actual thinking that is involved. The better it is.

That looks a lot like my Dave designing computerized signaling systems for model railroads. It’s amazing what we think is fun! 🙂

His work would have me completely baffled.

How wonderful to witness others’ passions! I wouldn’t begin to comprehend, but in the words of my mother, “It would be a pretty boring world if we all liked the same things.”

  10. Wow, good luck with that! I hope he is able to figure it all out.

Always good to keep challenging oneself.

That’s wonderful as I would like to have all sorts of solar supports, especially since we have so much sun. So far I have nothing solar energized.

Our photovoltaic cells for electricity are mounted on supports from the ground and don’t take much time. Andy is working on the solar heating system with panels on the roof. He’s trying to automate when to turn them on to heat the floor of the house. He says if he lives to be 150 the system might pay for itself, but it’s a great hobby and good mental exercise. And it works well so he doesn’t have to chop wood for the fireplace. 🙂
