Ending the Year On a High Note

A few days ago someone suggested it wasn’t too late to end the year on a high note. That made sense to me, focus on what we can do right now to put joy in our lives rather than hoping things will be better next year. There are never any guarantees.

So I’ve been spending extra attention to that the past couple of days and have been doing well.

Even if I hadn’t, it would still be ending on a high note because the movers delivered all of Kaitlin and Torben’s things. Kaitlin says things are a mess, of course, with all of the boxes, and they can’t find anything, but Tempi has her couch. All’s right with the world.

I’m happy they have a few days to organize things before Kaitlin starts her new job next Monday.

Are you ending this year on a high note? Or are you glad 2021 is almost over?

For some unknown reason I just started feeling happy the other day. I am truly enjoying life once again. I’m glad you are, too.

Yeah, furniture. That’s a good way to end the year.
I don’t know if I would say I’m ending the year on a high note. I think the scales have been tipped in my favor most of the time and I am moving in to 2022 with a peaceful easy feeling šŸ™‚

  3. that’s great news for K & T – And I also note the new play material for T & Z – packing paper!

I don’t think I’ve had a high note as a 2 days ago my health dipped sideways – a little reminder that maybe I should pay just a tiny bit more attn. I did and although still recuperating, yet again see a “light glowing”

But on the other hand my friends Al & T went a trip that would be grand to do – canoeing down part of the Whanganui River, around 87.5km over a couple of days – he sent some photos this morning, magical. Now they are back, but this morning off to Waiheke Island which is another suburb in Auckland but a picturesque and laid back kind of place – with old homes jostling with modern mansions…a place where the summer pop explodes but also a place I can get to (on a ferry) with my gold card. But not right now, too many people…

For now, it’s “me” truly trying to understand a future – one with as much positivity as I can have.

Happy New Year – it’s just after midday Jan 1st – the sun is shining…

Happy New Year! As I’ve probably said before, for me the best use of our creativity is to figure out what works best for us given the constraints in our life. Those constraints are the challenge.

I totally agree with your outlook. We cannot wait for joy, that wastes so many days. We must enjoy the little wonders of each day as it comes, and live in the moment. Each moment is precious.

  5. Cindi says:

2021 was better than 2020 for me
And Iā€™m hoping 2022 is much better than 2021
    Fingers crossed!
    Happy New Year!!!

So much fun tomhave your own furniture! A lot of the time if we were going to.spend nights at a hotel or even at the kids, we would take our own pillow. We always rested better that way.

As for ending on a high note..I would not say that, but neither is it a low note.

  7. Rose says:

I forgot to say Happy New Year!

  8. MadSnapper says:

Is there anything more precious than a sleeping pup? Or two!
You’re right — there are never any guarantees. Wish I’d realized that years ago; but there’s no time like the present to carpe the heck out of the diem!

    • Jean says:

I agree. I love the T-shirt with the caption “I have carped this diem!” It’s a good question to ask ourselves every evening while we still have some time to do something about it. Or ask in the morning, “How can I carp this diem?” šŸ™‚

  12. I’m so glad they got their things delivered and the pup looks so comfortable. Keep the high note going…..
