More Wind

Here is some of the latest information:

Critical weather is expected again today as strong southwest winds combine with low relative humidities and very dry fuels. Sustained winds of 20-25 mph with gusts to around 45 mph will be fairly common over most areas, especially the higher elevations and exposed ridges, with lighter winds in some of the lower canyon.

Morning Briefing:

Fire Behavior:

Fire Weather:

Andy and I are doing fine. We’re hoping we don’t have to evacuate but if we do we hope it’s not until after tomorrow. That’s when our new cell phone is supposed to arrive. It’s coming by FedEx and we’re supposed to sign for it.

No matter what happens keep learning and growing.

That part is really working for me. My poor little grey cells are getting plenty of exercise. 😀

I hope things are going well with you.

I saw on TV. today how very windy it is!! If only the wind would die down, or it would rain!

    • Jean says:

Apparently it will die down for a few days so we probably won’t have to evacuate yet, if ever. They say we may be at SET, be ready to evacuate, for quite a while.

  2. Ann Thompson says:

I’ve been hoping those winds would die down.

  3. Catalyst says:

Wind has been fierce here today too. If you do have to evacuate from your apartment where would you go? Santa Fe or Albuquerque?

    • Jean says:

Once we’re told to evacuate we will start making phone calls to see what is available. We would rather not have to drive to Albuquerque.
