A Gal After My Own Heart

I’ve said this many times. I don’t see the car engine blowing up as a bad thing. It’s not bad. It’s not good. It just is. What I choose to do with that and how I turn a situation into fuel, that’s what’s important.

That’s freedom.
—Ivy, The Happy Whisk

It’s age-old wisdom, but not mentioned much nowadays. I like Ivy’s use of the word “fuel”. That’s my image when I start to get disturbed by events. Rocket fuel!

Simple but powerful, if we know what we’re aiming for.

Thanks, Ivy!

Ivy always has the right thing to say.. when things go wrong for me, it is rocket fuel and shoots me off like a rocket.

I read that blog post and I liked her attitude towards the car engine blowing up. That’s how I try to be and most times I succeed. I’m still a work in progress…lol

  3. Pondering ….
I’m more likely to internalize misfortune and try to figure what lesson can be learned, if any.

This is a cool and motivating concept!

First I thought: yes, great! I need to remember this.
But then I got an image of SpaceX blowing up, all that rocket fuel. They’re now saying it even blew up the launch pad.
    I guess that’s a reminder of…..

times when I’ve done it unwisely?
